We started UpRoot soon after Feeding the 5000 Front Range to help facilitate a holistic, healthy, economically vibrant and just food system within Colorado through gleaning, experiential education, and nonpartisan legislation.
One day, we hope we won't be needed and we can take down our website.
Our hope is that we can contribute to a Colorado foodshed that becomes more mindful, humane, self-sustaining and connected.
A Colorado foodshed where everyone has access to healthy, nutrient-dense food, where hunger pangs are in the past, and where markets value farmers for what they are: a cornerstone of our society.
Investing for impact is a strategy that seeks to generate positive and measurable social and environmental impact alongside financial gains.
Our mission at Impact Driven (an early stage startup) was twofold: 1. create global awareness, build community, and accelerate adoption of impact investing by sharing original and curated content; and 2. develop and license to financial advisors portfolio tools leveraging socially responsible investments.
