Doing this will cost you five minutes, tops.
Every morning, think of a few features about your humanity that make you glad that you're you and repeat them as if you're writing a love letter to someone (only that someone is you).
I have resilience. And a heart still burgeoning. And a mind open to learn more of what I don't know I don't know. I am a really good listener and I love to laugh and I take joy from the beauty of faces and souls; I take joy from my own smile, my own face, my own soul. I share a secret relationship with the mountains, a morning or afternoon or evening rendezvous flush with moments of admiration. I am becoming the person that I was born to be; a journey I want to rush but life substitutes patience. I've stood in more moments of grace than I can count but more still await my footsteps.
Even when you're alone, you're not: you carry with you a calvary of good deeds, courageous moments, obstacles overcome. Call on them.
